Mrs. Ammerman, School Counselor
I’ve been a professional School Counselor since 2018 for Beaumont Unified School District. Prior to being employed with Beaumont USD, I worked as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist for districts and non-profit organizations since 2008.

School counselors are professional advocates who provide support to maximize student potential and academic achievement. In partnership with other educators, parents or guardians and the community, school counselors facilitate the support system to ensure all students in Tournament Hills Elementary School have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest level as productive members of society.
The students at Tournament Hills Elementary School are healthy and responsible individuals that are excited to learn and grow together. The counseling department strives to empower all students to continue to be life-long learners. All students at Tournament Hills Elementary participate in a rigorous curriculum that encourages innovation, excitement for learning, and personal growth in a trusting partnership. Our comprehensive school counseling program aligns with the district’s mission statement by supporting all students and fosters partnerships between students, staff, families, and community members in order to eliminate the achievement gap and equip all students to achieve their full potential while preparing our students to be successful and productive members of our society.
Our vision for students is based on the following beliefs:
All students can learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally in order to become high school graduates and progressive members of our society..
All students have unique strengths.
We must work to actively engage children, families, and community members, and fully develop them as partners in the educational experience.
Curriculum and instructional techniques must be differentiated to meet the needs of all students while also providing a common curriculum to all students.
All students have the right to participate in a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate school counseling program delivered by a credentialed school counselor.
